Bowen Therapy is a gentle, effective, lasting treatment for a wide range of problems and injuries.
The Bowen technique (also known as Bowenwork) is a simple and gentle method of holistic healing, successful with a multitude of conditions, from joint pain to headaches. This unique field of natural therapy requires relatively few moves over muscle and other soft tissue to stimulate the body to recover and heal itself. This gentle technique may be used on anyone, from the newborn to the frail and elderly. The Bowen Technique may be done through light clothing, using light rolling moves across the muscles with the thumbs and fingers. Although it is usually practiced in clinics, with the client lying down or sitting comfortably in a chair, the simple technique can also be used on sports fields, in hospitals or at accident sites.
Gay Jarvis is a highly qualified practitioner and has speciaised in the Bowen Technique since training in 1996. Gay is also an accredited Bowtech instructor. Read more about Gay here.
